COUNTERING MASS PRODUCTION
NØRTHBLOCK is built on the belief that clothing should be made to endure. We reject the rapid cycles of traditional fast fashion in favor of a permanent, functional wardrobe.
Every item is designed to be worn repeatedly, layering effortlessly across changing conditions. By manufacturing strictly what is needed, we respect the resources, materials, and labor required to construct quality apparel.
CONTROLLED RELEASES
Instead of spring/summer or autumn/winter collections, we release clothing in highly controlled, numbered drops. This allows us to focus entirely on the design, fabric selection, and visual identity of small capsule releases.
Once a drop is sold out, it is archived. We do not restock past releases, ensuring every piece remains a distinct release in our catalog.
ANCOATS WORKSPACE
All concepts, sample layouts, and patterns originate in our studio workspace in Ancoats, Manchester. Surrounded by raw brickwork and industrial heritage, our space inspires the utility and shape of our streetwear silhouettes.
Our design process starts with utility: placing pockets where they are accessible, using reinforcement stitching in high-stress areas, and constructing fits that drape naturally on the body.
MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
HEAVYWEIGHT BASICS
T-shirts are crafted from 240GSM cotton, while hoodies feature 450GSM loopback cotton. This weight ensures structure, warmth, and resistance to wear over time.
UTILITY FABRICS
We employ technical textiles including ripstop nylons, water-repellent coatings, and structured canvases that handle shifting urban environments.
REINFORCED DETAILS
All garments feature heavy-duty flatlock stitching, reinforced pocket linings, and industrial-grade hardware for durability.
